Ben's Birthday Post

In my never ending attempt to be Super Mom I am finally posting on Ben's Birthday.

As I type this there are still several things I have to do before I hit the "Publish Post" button, but I am starting this now so I don't have to type later.

We had a fun party at home. Just a few people and not too much fuss. Of course, to me that is not how I felt. We did the party later in the afternoon (4pm) because of nap schedules and it ended up being the perfect time. Ben was really happy, except toward the end but that is normal. He liked opening the presents but wasn't paticularly fond of having to set each one aside to open another one especially when the other babies would start playing with it. He really wasn't impressed with the clothes (but mom was, thanks to those of you who got them).

When he did his cake Dad had to get him started and then he did pretty good. He kept slunching down is his chair so that is why the pictures look weird.

We had a good day and now I can't believe he is not a baby anymore. THANK GOD I have two friends having babies within the next year to delay my baby-ites

I have put together a selection of pictures from the past year, some you may have seen some maybe not. Click on the link to view it.

BEN'S FIRST YEAR

There is also a slideshow from Ben's party.

BEN'S PARTY

The first picture and the one below are professional pictures I had done last Friday. They turned out cute I think.

I just watched both slide shows and loved them. You plan the best parties! I wish we could have been there. I love the ones of madison eating cake scraps! Too cute.

I love the professional pictures too. I'm a bad mom Lucas still hasn't had any done... but then we haven't gotten any of Curt and I together either... I blame my parents. They weren't big into professional pictures either... they didn't even always buy our school pictures LOL

I miss my buddies so much! I just want to hug them, kiss, them play with them, tickel them! Too cute! They are growing up way too fast! I may have to move back to cali so I can be with them more. This makes me sad to not be there on their birthdays! This sucks!

Love You,
Wendy

The professional pictures are awesome. The props the photographer used were cool. I thought the slideshows were great too. Happy Bday Ben. I forgot to say that in my last comment to the post.

Nice "new Blog" look keeping things fresh and interesting. Thanks for the slide show, and of course the professional photos are priceless too.

Did you send me any by snail mail?

This is the first 'quiet moment' I've had in weeks! Tom went to Eugene to browse around Best Buy...Jessie is going out with her new friends and then to an overnight slumber party. Emily is at school now, and Wendy is on her way back from a Conference in Bend;
Jon is at work at Fred Meyers, Jordan has a game tonight so she is with the cheerleaders, Allen is still at the Restaurant (writing a police report on someone who bought a $200. leather jacket and then stopped payment on the check)...Wendy is on her way home from Bend, Will is in Santa Rosa, and Aunt Faye hasn't turned on the television to blast Dr. Phil yet.

As luck would have it...during this awesome moment of silence...except for the tapping on the keyboard...I feel lousy and like I am coming down with something, so much so that I am going to lay down for awhile (and you know I NEVER do that!).

It sucks to have that perfect moment of peace and quiet...and not be able to even enjoy it...

EXCEPT FOR THE PART where I can see what is happening in your end of the world...and all the cute pictures of my gorgeous grandsons.

...and THAT...I believe...

is really PRICELESS! Thanks a million for posting them.

Love and smooches, Mom
