A Fun Family Day!

Yesterday we went up to Sequoia Park for the day. It was really great. We went up about 6 miles iinto the park to Hospital Rock. It is an area where there are picnic tables and a rock with real Indian paintings and a trail down to the Kaweah River.

The boys could not get enough. They cried more when we left there, than when we leave Chuck E' Cheese.

While we ate the boys climbed the big rocks in the picnic area. They did manage to choke down a half sandwich between running around.

After lunch we went and checked out the Indian paintings (not pictured) and a natural rock cavern. Then went down the trail to the river. The river is still high enough to form a little swimming pool. The water was pretty cold but we all got used to it and got wet. We hung out out at the water for quite a while and then headed home.

It was a really good family day and I am so happy we showed the boys a little bit of nature and Jim and I remembered how lucky we are that we live in an area we can see such beauty in a "day trip".
