Happy Birthday Jim, Jimmy, Jimbo, Uncle Jim, Daddy, Babe

Today is Jim's Birthday. I, OF COURSE, decorated his office and we had a little gathering last night. He wanted Pastrami sandwiches and German Chocolate cake for his Birthday feast (like when he was a kid) so that is what we had. I should have gotten a picture of the sandwiches because they looked weird but were actually very good.

The cake was kind of half-a** because I didn't do it ALL from scratch. I did a store bought cake mix then made the topping from scratch. I think the topping recipe was for a smaller cake. It was still good and Jim didn't care anyway.

There are 12 candles (4 +8).

Jim got a Foodsaver from my dad and Shaunah so there was some wrapping paper to play with, which kept Ean and Sierra occupied for quite a while.

Jim was tuckered out by the end of the day.

Happy Birthday from your old Mother-in-Law...and your gift is me visiting for a week. Isn't that lovely?

Sorry I am late with the Birthday wishes. but up here in the wilderness we had one of our famous 130 mph North Western Pacific Storms...a bunch of smelly puppies (well, they didn't start out that way...but after a couple of weeks...pee....eeewwwwh) no power and no water for three days...then power, and then none, and then yes, and then no for a few days...and no water...so everyone got smelly...peeee---eeewwwwh)and no phone, and tree limbs and even some trees strewn from one end of the North 40 to the other...one branch broke one of our heavy duty pic nic tables in half...so, forgot about your big (bigger numbered) day.

Sooorrrrrryyyy!

I can see you were spoiled rotten, as I only get that treatment every 'decade or so' and then, never from my spouse...(ha ha).

Heck, our 18th Anniversary was the 7th (Pearl Harbor Day) and I don't think either one of us have signed our cards to each other yet...no presents etc.

Our "present" to each other is traveling your way to give you the great big treat of "us" for your Christmas Present...and to teach our grandson's some new tricks...(just kidding), and teach our red headed beauty some new arguments (just kidding) and hug the oldest kid a little. Maybe see some pals...

So Happy Birthday from the old gal who refuses to grow up...in Oregon and we'll be seeing ya real soon.

Hugs and Smooches, Mammie
