The results of Daddy babysitting

Jim stayed home with the kids yesterday morning while I had to go make Enchladas for a fund raiser. I was gone most of the morning. I had just talked to Jim and said I would be heading home in about an hour, he calls me immediately back, and I qoute, "You need to come home now", I ask "why", "Ean's bleeding, just come home", I ask again, "why", he says "I don't know, just come home" and hangs up the phone.

What else could I do, I gathered up my stuff and left the cleaning of a huge mess to everyone else. As I am almost home, the phone rings. He says, "I may have overeacted". I again ask what happened and as he starts to tell me he remembers that he was right in the middle of changing Ben's poopy diaper when Ean got hurt. So as he goes to hunt down Ben, I tell him I will be home in a minute.

It turns out Ean was trying to get a can of Apple Juice out of the fridge and somehow managed to fall flat on top of it. The cans are littler than a soda can, but the same idea. He had a little cut in his eyebrow and bruises in the shape of a can around his eye. Jim did overeact BUT I was kind of glad he did so I could be a part of Ean's first bleeding incident. Ean didn't even cry that much, Jim said.

After it was all over we noticed that he had the appropriate shirt on.

It says "I do all my own stunts"

That shirt really matched the event! Poor little guy...he was already trying to be 'indpendent'...wonder when he will try to 'cook' breakfast for you? lol

Glad Ean is all right, and only sporting a small cut above his eye...but can understand the panic Jim must have felt when all the blood was pouring out.

Can't wait to see our little 'stunt man', you and Ben in just a few days. I'm going shopping for the stuff today...and over to the beach house to get stuff too.

I am excited!

..it will be fun

I hope Eans face doesn't bruise up too bad. I also hope you guys have a great trip. I found a picture on Flickr of Colby's eye when it started healing. I'm sure Ean's cut was more intense. Just so Ean can see that Colby eventually healed.

Here is the link
