A fun weekend

This weekend was pretty good.

We visited my dad on Friday night and went to bed pretty early after a long week.

Saturday I got up with Ean and made my usual Chocolate Chip Pancackes and let Jim sleep in. Jim's friend Greg and his daughter Danny were here so we took a drive up to Three Rivers. Ean got a haircut from my dad and on the way back we stopped at the lake, Ean and Danny of course got their shoes off and got as close to the water as they could. As you can see Ean must have gotten a little hungry because he figured he needed to taste the sand.

Saturday night, we went out to dinner with our friend Jay and Greg too and met up with Jay's girlfriend AJ after at the Wine Bar. Even though we don't really drink they play live music and have dessert. We stayed there a long time and even danced a little.

We stayed out longer than we had since we had kids and it was great. I felt like a teenager again, coming in after curfew except no one was there to ground us. We had let our babysitter bring her boyfriend so they were happily on the couch watching TV. I told them they could rent a pay-per-view so they rented "Bad news Bears", too cute. Anyway, she was happy for the extra money and the kids had gone down early so she didn't care at all that we got home late.

Sunday we mainly just hung out, I went grocery shopping and Ean found a portable radio laying around and thought it was the coolest thing. We had my dad and his family over for an early dinner. Overall a fun weekend.
