Adventures of Sweet Potatoes, rolling in dog poop, and missing Papa

It is by all terms a Monday. Hectic, rushed and problems all around.

This weekend was pretty relaxed. Relaxed by the meaning nothing planned. Not really relaxed at all.

When we don't go anywhere Ean is a wild indian at home. He gets bored real easy and needs to always be doing something. He was pretty good but we had a couple of incidences.

We are still trying to potty train the dog so there are accidents, yesterday she had a poop accident and at almost the same time Ean was chasing her to reposses a stuff animal she had stole from him and when I turned around there was poop on the floor that had been squished by his knees and arms. I am not sure if he fell in it or just layed down in it without realizing what is was, needless to say Jim was just finishing dinner and Ben was eating his sweet potatoes so I got clean up duty. FUN FUN!!

Ben will be four month old on Wednesday. By four months, Ean was a very experienced eater of solid baby foods. Ben is not. We first tried feeding Ben during our Christmas trip and it gave him such a stomach ache we quit until we got home. Since he has been waking up almost twice a night (most nights) we decided to start trying to feed him again. He likes to eat but still it makes him really uncomfortable. I feel torn between keeping up the feeding so he can get used to it or stop until he gets a little older. We never had a problem with Ean and his digestive system so this is new for me. I am a strong believer though of early feeding as it helps them be less picky when they are toddlers AND sleep better too. Of course if he isn't sleeping because his tummy hurts that doesn't matter. Needless to say Jim and I got obsolutely no sleep because Mr. Sweet Potatoes cried and fussed from 1am to 5am.

Ean calls Allen, my step dad, Papa. He really got to know him when we were in Oregon for Christmas. Ean misses his Papa so bad that yesterday after I had gotten him dressed he came in with his Hogfathers shirt trying to put it on. When I told him he was already dressed he got upset and handed it to me to put it on him. I always ask him who is on it and he always knows that is Papa. Even when Jim was smoking the last of the cigars he got at Christmas, Ean scowled at the smell and said, "PAPA". Just thought that Papa would enjoy hearing that.

Hopefully as the week progresses we will be able to get more sleep, before the weekend hits and we start all over.

AAAHHHH Monday!!

Its nice to hear about your wild Indian. I don't feel so alone. Shane wants to be a Cowboy when he grows up, so that runs right along with Wild Indians. Hope the eating goes better for Ben.

It sure would be easier if babies came out talking! Lucas will be 6 months old friday and he loves to eat but half way through he starts grunting and half crying and we aren't sure if he is full and doesn't want anymore (but he keeps taking the spoon and the food) or if we aren't going fast enough? (which is what we think) some days he will eat 2 jars of stage one, and then one day 1/2 a jar. Hope Ben's tummy gets better.

Ohhh Noooo...Ben sounds like Emily! I sure hope not! She did best on the bland foods like oatmeal, rice, barley...she had chronic gas and constipation soon as I stared her on solid foods. I ended up mainly breast feeding for 13 months because of it. She is miss picky eater still - though she is starting to eat carrots her first and only vegie! Good luck linz!
