No good title...

This past weekend was cut short for me since I went down to LA for my childhood friend's bridal shower.
I left Friday early afternoon, actually by the time I packed and stopped at the store for final needs I left after dark but anyway, I got down there abotu 8pm. I was able to spend the first night with her in her new apartment. Which, by the way, is more per month than we paid for our last house. I was great since we haven't had a sleep over together for many many year. We stayed up late then still couldn't get to sleep because we layed in bed talking. I loved it. The next morning we got ready and I was able to take her to her bridal shower. Since her and her fiance are not living together until they get married it was so nice to have alone time with her. Probably will be the last time in many years. The shower was at 10:30 am so I was able to head home by 2pm.

I got home fairly early and we had dinner at my dad's. Ean was kind of mad at me for being gone so he stayed away from me for a while. I was kind of sad, but he warmed up soon enough.
Sunday we hung out together and did some running around. We put up our yard decorations and some lights. Last year Jim and our neighbor had a contest of who could put up more but so far our neighbor hasn't done anything.

I had the kids for the morning on Monday, since Kristen had a dentist appointment. Ben was really fussy but I went to get their Christmas picture taken anyway. I went to Mimi's cafe because they have a nice fireplace and tried to get a free picture. of course they wouldn't cooperate and when they did my camera went dead. I ended up going to the mall and doing a Santa picture. It turned out ok too, but I am using it so you have to wait to see it.

The fireplace picture is below.

Well it is now 5:10 and my day has gotten away from me. I will post a couple more pictures and say good night.

I miss going to slumber parties. I'm glad you got to catch up like that with your girlfriend.

The boys are so cute! I just looked everywhere for a pair of antlers like Ean is wearing for Lucas. I saw them everywhere a few weeks ago but of course now they must be all sold out.
