Just like Us!

It is just like us to avoid doing work to go out and have fun. I guess everyone would rather do fun stuff than work but we are the worst at it. In most ways Jim and I are total opposites, I think that is why we get along so good, but when it comes to this we are the same.

Instead of doing ANY packing this weekend we shopped. Now that we have a HUGE bedroom to fill as well as several other pieces of furniture to buy we have been looking for furniture all weekend. We have been wanting a new bedroom set for over two years and now that we are going to have the room to have what we want that was at the top of the list.

Today we dropped Ean off at his Grammy and Grandpa's and were able to really shop.

Below is the picture of what we got (ordered) today: (excluding the nightstands since the picture didn't come out good)

We got a California King Four poster bed (top left) our DREAM bed, a "Man's chest" (bottom left) ,the coolest thing so far, the center opens up and Jim can hang his suits up OR we can put the TV in it, a HUGE comfy couch, for the family room, (top right), and a chest of drawers (bottom right). We also got matching nightstands. It kills me to spend so much money on furniture but it is so exciting too, I have never gotten BRAND NEW bedroom furniture especially something like this. These are the things we will keep forever.

Since we still have a few more things to buy we will still be shopping, but I feel a little more motivated to start packing and getting rid of the junk so I can sleep in my new bed.

Have to go make dinner for the hungry boys will post more later.

oh i am jealous of the bed! It will be nice to have a king size bed during your last few months!!! I wish we could get one but there is no way it would fit in our bedroom.

WOW!

You will surely feel like a King and Queen in your bedroom!

It is true about buying 'quality' (for those fortunate enough to be able to do it), it never gets old or tiring.

A good piece treated respectfully can last as long as you want it to.

In my old age, I've enjoyed 'quality' better than 'quantity'...even when it is for a 'ranch house' instead of a a little mansion.

Beautiful furniture!

How exciting and the furniture looks great. I bet you can't wait to be all moved in and sleep in your new home.
