Our Night

First I would like to thank all of you who lurk on our blog. I now have a counter at the bottom that tells me how many hits we are getting. It takes a minute to load but if you scroll to the bottom you can see it too.

Tonight Ean had his first real babysitter night. He has stayed at my dad's many times, but tonight we were taking a client to dinner and my dad and Shaunah had plans. He did great, he didn't cry at all when we left and didn't give her a hard time at all. She is a friend of mine's daughter, she is 13 I think. I guess I am a more protective mom than I thought I would be. I would have thought he would be an expert at babysitters by the age of 16mos but I don't trust many people and don't like leaving him much since he is at daycare all week.

I am very excited that he liked her and she seemed to do really good with him. She will probably be going with us in August when we go to a convention in San Diego. We are going for four days and I don't want to leave Ean that long when he could go and be watched during the day and we can be with him at night. It sounds silly, but I think I will have a better time if he is there instead of wondering how he is doing all the time we are gone.

I think things will change as soon as we have two of them, but for now I am happy being nervous nelly mom.

Can't say too much. I don't think my kids had a babysitter other than family EVER.
