This is Jim and Rod (our neighbor), posing for the camera and starting their engines this morning.
They got on the road about 9:30 am and are staying in Medford,OR tonight. They will head to the coast tomorrow where my mom lives and to their destination.
I had a terrible day, I think it hit me just this morning that he will be gone for a whole week. This will be the longest we have been apart ever. Plus the added stress of having a one and a half year old by myself for a week. I know he will have fun and will miss me too but that doesn't help. I try not to think about things until they happen so today was my day to get it out. I will be fine from now on except at night, it is always hard for me at night.
Anyway, I guess this will help me to appreciate and have more patience for my husband and pray for those women who do it by themselves all the time because they have lost their husbands to some tragedy.
I will update more as to their progress and I hope he will send me some pictures of the trip to post too.
PS- I TRIED to give Ean his shower and he cried and whined the whole time. Nobody does it like daddy, and he only likes it daddies way. My poor buddy misses his daddy already too. :-(

The first time Curt went away for 4 days for work we had never really been apart, and on top of that our plumbing was messed up and I was sick, so I went and stayed at my parents house (which was strange after living on our own for so long). I missed him a lot, so even though Jimmy's only going to be gone for a short time I know it is still hard!
